The band tours every other year. On the year we don't tour, the band runs a residential rehearsal weekend. This usually takes place at Broadstone Warren, East Grinstead.

The Band and committee spent a very happy weekend at Broadstone Warren, from 4-6 March 2016. After arrival and dinner on Friday evening, the Band rehearsed for the evening. After a full English breakfast on Saturday,  the Band practiced in sections, led by our conductors and assisted by our parent musicians. A full Band rehearsal on Saturday afternoon was followed by dinner and team building games. Another full rehearsal on Sunday before a roast chicken dinner completed the weekend.

On 17th and 18th June 2016 the Band played two fabulous concerts at Davison School. A selection of music from Broadway musicals was played, including Jersey Boys, the Lion King and Phantom of the Opera. The Band was delighted to accompany two guest soloists, Maria Ventura-Paul and Jack Winrow, who finished the concert spectacularly with The Song That Goes Like This from the musical Spamalot. Professional sound, lighting, dry ice and confetti cannons, together with a raffle and photo booth, made the evening complete. The concert was arranged by the Band and FODS (Friends of Davison School) to raise funds for new lighting equipment at the school, and for the Band tour of Austria in 2017.

20th May 2016 - Friday Night is Music Night

A wonderful evening of music from the Band and The Worthing Salvation Army Band. Congratulations to Jo Clay on receiving the John Holden award for service to the Band.

24 hours after our last concert, on Sunday July 12 2015 the Band played a very different concert. We supported Goring Hall Race for Life, and several band members ran or walked 5km in wind and rain, and then the Band played a short set under gazebos in the courtyard. The day raised over £1300 for Cancer Research UK.

Saturday 11 July saw the Band perform at the opening of the Parham House Garden Weekend. The Band played two sets in the beautiful setting of Parham House.

On Saturday 13 June 2015 a small band played in the summer sunshine for residents, staff and visitors at the Irene House Rest Home Summer Fayre.

24 April 2015 - The Band performed a very enjoyable concert with the Salvation Army Band at the Citadel in Crescent Road, Worthing. Proceeds from the concert were divided between DWYCB and the Salvation Army.
