Trumpets
The JL DANCE AND SWING band consists of four main trumpet players:
Karen Kennard (Principal 1st Trumpet & Flugel)
Karen Kennard is the resident 1st Trumpet player for JL DANCE AND SWING. She is a Trumpet teacher by profession and currently teaches all around sussex. In her spare time as well as playing in the JL band, she also plays soprano cornet for Horsham brass band and co-conducts DWYCB along with James. Karen has a long track record in Trumpet playing and has appeared in professional concerts across Britain and Europe.
Gemma Souter (2nd Trumpet & Lead Flugel)
Gemma is attending Chichester University, studying music, and Trumpet. She plays for many bands and has appeared in concerts all across the south and europe. She is a keen singer and loves all aspects of music, and hopes to continue to perform as she moves through her musical journey. Gemma is resident 3rd Trumpet.
