Paris Day 3

Today was spent in the Disney studios with all the rides being given a good testing out by the Band, including The Tower of Terror!.

The journey to Paris passed with no problems (except James and Dave getting up late) and the group arrived at the Hotel in the early afternoon.

Resolutions 6

The Resolutions 6 concert this year was a fantastic success.
Held at Lancing Parish Hall and in the presence of the Mayor, the Band performed brilliantly.

Playathon 2009

The Playathon was a great event, raising nearly £2000 for Tour, Band and Chestnut Tree House.

Christmas Concert @ St Georges 2008

The Band played their Christmas Concert at the St Georges Church Christmas Tree Festival on the 6th December. The Band made a great sound in St Georges Church, this seemed to be appreciated by all that came to the concert (or was that the Mulled wine?). Read more »


Parham 2008

In July, we were invited to play at Parham hall for their open day. This was a great afternoon with kind weather (very important as we were playing in the open air in the hall’s courtyard).

Band members and their families were invited into the open day which made it a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, another one for the DWYCB calendar. Read more »


RNLI Concert

In June, we played a concert at Littlehampton Baptist Church in aid of the RNLI.

This is becoming a regular event on the DWYCB calendar and the Band put in a great performance. Read more »


Resolutions 5

The Band’s big annual concert is “Resolutions”, this year (our fifth such concert) it was held at the Charmandean centre in Worthing and was attended by the Mayor of Worthing. Read more »


Valkenburg

In April of 2008 the Band went on a trip to Valkenburg. We travelled by coach from Worthing to Dover, crossed the channel by Ferry and then continued on by road (with the trusty van in convoy) through to Valkenburg in southern Holland (near Maastricht). Read more »
