Dav Band needs you !

Parents Committee – It’s coming round to that time of year again when we are thinking about the AGM and the membership of the parents committee for next year. The committee works hard to help the musical staff give Band members a great time and I would like to thank all current members for the hard work they have put in. I hope that many of the current committee will continue again next year, however there are several of us that have served for a long time and are reaching the time to move on. As a result we are particularly keen to hear from new volunteers for the committee. Being on the committee is fun (honest!). We have committee meetings about twice a term and members take on various tasks to help out from writing letters to buying food and washing cars! If you would like to help, please talk to one of the current members (see the back of the newsletter) or give me a call.

Tuck shop – The tuck shop is a regular and important! part of rehearsal night (Karen’s yums). We would like someone to step forward and take over the running of it please. This would involve the running of the shop on rehearsal night, purchasing the stock etc. If you are interested, please contact Alison Pereux (01903 505879).

Van – The school van is essential for transporting Band equipment for all our concerts, but the return of equipment to the school is usually handled by a regular few from the committee. We would very much like someone to come forward to take over organising the unloading of the Van. This involves pulling together volunteers for unloading whenever van unloading is required, then meeting at the school at 7am on the designated morning (usually Monday) for unloading.
