Davison Worthing Youth Concert Band

In April of 2008 the Band went on a trip to Valkenburg. We travelled by coach from Worthing to Dover, crossed the channel by Ferry and then continued on by road (with the trusty van in convoy) through to Valkenburg in southern Holland (near Maastricht).

We stayed in Valkenburg for 4 days and were very busy…

• We visited the maze in Vaals where Holland, Germany and Belgium all meet
• We then went on to Moschau in Germany and played a concert – in the snow!
• Next we had a day out in Phantasialand (for Karen) near Cologne Germany
• We had great fun at the summer toboggan run in Valkenburug, followed by a concert in Maastricht
• Finally all the leaders were shot in laser quest and we finished with a brilliant concert in Valkenburg
• Then we went home to sleep
